9 scientists, including physicist Steven E. Jones, have found thermite in the World Trade Center dust, and published their report in the peer-reviewed Open Chemical Physics Journal, published by Bentham. A summary of those findings can be found here.

Thermite is a patented explosive used in demolition. The form of thermite they found is defined as 'nano-thermite'. They estimate several tons of it were in the buildings.

Though common sense tells you that the collision of two planes does not cause 3 buildings [#1, 2, and 7] to symmetrically collapse into their own footprints at the rate of freefall and explode into dust, the scientific finding of thermite in the rubble is the final proof many were looking for in the case of demolition.
